Team NetApp has won the team time trial at the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali, claiming its first win of the season. Cesare Benedetti, who sprinted into second place in the first stage, is now the overall leader.

“The team had a great race. We prepared ourselves deliberately for the team time trial. And now it has paid off. Today’s course was technically demanding with several tight curves. But the team mastered it wonderfully. The fact that we were the clear winners and even managed to claim the leader's jersey, that just rounds it all off. I’m very proud of the team,” commented Sport Director Jens Heppner.

Team NetApp triumphed on the 14.9-km course in Gatteo with a time of 16:28, relegating Endura Racing (16:36) and Androni-Giocattoli (16:43) into second and third place.
