Team NetApp to start at its last belgian classic race

Binche-Tournai-Binche on October 2 is one of the oldest races on the Belgian racing calendar. After taking a break for 13 years, the Walloon race was revived two years ago as a memorial for Frank Vandenbroucke, a rider who died in 2009.

The 201.9-km course first takes a 135-km loop in a western direction before five laps around a 16.3-km circuit have to be completed in Binche.

"In terms of the profile, the race is not very difficult, but the final lap includes some short cobblestone sections. The route through Binche is also very contorted and the final stretch is slightly uphill. So there's a good chance that a breakaway group will be able to pull out ahead," explains Sport Director Enrico Poitschke.
