Blaz Jarc sixth in the mass sprint at the Dutch Food Valley Classic

Dutchman Theo Bos (Rabobank) prevailed in the mass sprint in the 27th running of the Dutch Food Valley Classic with its start and finish in Veenendal. Top sprinters Peter Sagan (Liquigas) and his teammate Mark Renshaw came in second and third. Team NetApp’s Blaz Jarc sprinted to an outstanding sixth place.
“With this extraordinarily strong placing, the performance of our own Blaz Jarc, who is still young and inexperienced in the sprint, is a very good and promising result. We can be very happy with the outcome of today's race,” said Jens Heppner after the race.
At first, a six-man breakaway group dominated the 197-km long one-day race in Holland. But the bunch only gave them a lead of a good four minutes and caught the group five kilometers before the finish. The race was very fast at the end and was ultimately decided in the mass print.
