Andre Schulze wins the second stage of Course de Solidarnosc

Team NetApp rider André Schulze from Leipzig claimed victory in the second stage of the polish Tour „Course Cycliste de Solidarnosc et des Champions Olympiques“. In the sprint he prevailed against Marko Kump (Adria Mobil) and Michael Schweizer (Nutrixxion Abus) over a distance of 140 kilometers.
This morning Schulze had already obtained third place in the first half of the stage. The 37 year old sprinter is now also leading the General Classification of the Tour.
“This victory was a clear goal for us. This morning we already held the third place and competed this afternoon with great morale. The guys led André to the sprint perfectly and he achieved according to his experience,“ says Enrico Poitschke, Sport Director of Team NetApp.
The success was clouded by a crash, in which Team NetApp rider Grischa Janorschke was entangled. Shortly before the finish a dog ran onto the race course, which Janorschke was not able to avoid hitting. He had to abandon the race and was immediately taken to the hospital. The seriousness of his injury remains unknown at present.
